A unique engineering construction pre-apprenticeship for 16 – 18 year olds is being launched across Greater Manchester. The new pre-apprenticeship programme is with Doosan Babcock and Bury College, has been made possible due to HM Government funding via the Nuclear Industrial Partnership, being run by the National Skills Academy Nuclear.
The brand new six month programme offers an exclusive opportunity for individuals to take part in first class workplace training, which on successful completion could lead to a highly sought after apprenticeship with Doosan Babcock.
In addition to preparing individuals for a successful career in the engineering construction industry, the pre-apprenticeship includes an industry recognised level 2 certificate in supporting engineering construction activities.
September starts are available and a Recruitment Day will be held on Monday 24th August, 11am – 3pm, at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. Visitors will meet representatives from Doosan Babcock and their apprentices, and will have the chance to find out more about the programme, speak to experienced tutors and apply for this exclusive opportunity.
