Government Confirms Plans for Major Nuclear Power Plant in Wylfa

NSAN welcomes the Government announcement today that a new nuclear power plant is earmarked for North Wales.

Wylfa in Anglesey has been selected as the first choice for a large-scale gigawatt nuclear power plant. This plan means that Anglesey will benefit from thousands of jobs and local investment in clean, reliable and cheaper power, as well as North Wales benefiting from a boost to its economic prosperity and help to support the UK’s long-term energy security.
