NSAN Grows Dedicated Provider Network for the UK Nuclear Industry

The National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) is pleased to announce the addition of MTC Training to our Nuclear Training Network.

As an established member company, MTC Training has chosen dual membership, enjoying advantages as both an employer and provider member with NSAN. NSAN offers a collaborative and non-competitive platform where employers and training providers unite to address sector skills and training needs.

MTC Training is an award-winning skills specialist, supporting employers across the engineering and manufacturing sectors to gain the expertise they need to secure a sustainable future through innovation. The business delivers in-demand technical skills to learners at all levels of business, including 350 apprentices, from its cutting-edge training facilities in Coventry, Oxfordshire, and Liverpool.

Chris Rooum, Business Development Director of MTC Training, commented, “We’re thrilled to be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year – for a decade, we’ve supported our customers to keep up with the intense pace of change that presents both a challenge and a fantastic opportunity to the UK’s most pioneering sectors.”

Chris emphasised the MTC’s dedication to expanding its membership of NSAN, particularly in response to the sectors’ skills needs highlighted by Nuclear Skills Development Group (NSDG). “The nuclear industry is a critical area of growth for the UK but will only be able to reach its potential with the skills, expertise, and motivation of a future-proofed workforce. We’re already working with nuclear employers to identify and fill the skills gaps that may be holding their businesses back, and our relationship with the National Skills Academy for Nuclear will only strengthen our capability to most effectively support the sector.”

The Nuclear Training Network (NTN), NSAN’s dedicated training provider network, serves as a vital link between industry and training providers. Through tailored training solutions, the NTN aims to meet the evolving skills needs of the UK nuclear industry, from induction support, advanced qualifications, through to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes.

Nicola Wallwork Operations Director of NSAN, commented. “The addition of MTC Training enhances our network’s capacity to support the nuclear industry in developing its workforce. All members of the Nuclear Training Network share a commitment to delivering high-quality training tailored to the unique requirements of the nuclear industry, encompassing culture, safety, security, and behaviours.”
