NSAN Welcomes National Endeavour Launch by Government
Today marks a significant milestone as NSAN extends a warm welcome to the government’s unveiling of the ‘National Endeavour,’ reaffirming the UK’s steadfast commitment to nuclear deterrence. With an impressive investment of up to £763 million, a collaborative effort between the government and industry is set to invigorate job creation and apprenticeship programmes.
This announcement underscores a pivotal step forward in securing the sustained growth of the nuclear sector. The commitment to generate over 5,000 new apprenticeships and quadruple PhDs demonstrates a forward-looking approach aimed at addressing the evolving demands of the industry. According to the Nuclear Skills Delivery Board the sector needs to fill 40,000 new positions by 2030, which welcomed these initiatives to support the growth of personnel required.
Tricia Austin Managing Director of NSAN commented.
“At NSAN, we are fully committed to ensuring that the sector’s skills requirements are effectively addressed. We will continue to proactively engage the Nuclear Skills Delivery Board to support the delivery of the National Nuclear Strategic Plan for Skills.
Through our collaborative approach and innovative initiatives, NSAN remains committed to supporting new talent into the sector, and empowering companies to explore new opportunities and share best practice.
NSAN stands as a trusted partner for companies, offering invaluable support in the development of their workforce. Together, we can navigate the forthcoming challenges and maximise the opportunities that lie ahead.”
