NSAN Receives Ofqual Recognition

We are delighted to announce that NSAN’s End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) has successfully gained Ofqual recognition as an Awarding Organisation, with no conditions. This is the result of many months of hard work by the NSAN EPAO team to successfully complete the rigorous process. Being recognised qualifies NSAN to continue to deliver high-quality End Point Assessments (EPA) for apprenticeship standards for the nuclear industry.

NSAN delivers a specialist EPA service, providing tailored assessments for specific nuclear standards. At the heart of our delivery, we use our unique position to access expertise from the nuclear industry and Professional Institutes to develop and deliver assessments that ensure readiness for the vital roles these apprentices will move in to. NSAN currently provides EPA services for apprentices for three nuclear apprenticeship standards, which are the Level 2 Nuclear Health Physics Monitor, Level 2 Nuclear Operator, and the Level 5 Nuclear Technician.

This achievement makes NSAN the only Ofqual approved End Point Assessment Organisation for these three nuclear standards and maintains consistency in delivery and confidence for employers of these apprentices.

Jo Tipa, Managing Director of NSAN commented:

“This is a fantastic achievement for us at NSAN. The NSAN EPAO team are dedicated to providing high-quality end point assessments, and this achievement shows the confidence Ofqual have in our delivery. Ofqual recognition demonstrates to our customers the quality of our End Point Assessment service and provides assurance and peace of mind.”

Zoe Whittington, Projects and Assessments Manager at NSAN commented:

“I am so proud of our team for achieving this recognition, which is a significant milestone in our delivery of End Point Assessments. It confirms our commitment to quality and to working closely with employers from across the industry to ensure our assessments are always appropriate for these safety critical roles.”
