If you are looking for inspiration to help with your nomination, we can’t think of anyone better than the current UK Nuclear Apprentice of the Year –  Heather Lovell.

Heather won the titles of Engineering Apprentice and UK Nuclear Apprentice of the Year at the 2020 UK Nuclear Skills Awards in March 2020.

An Engineer at Westinghouse Springfields, Heather explains how being selected for nomination by her employer provided a sense of achievement and recognition for her hard work throughout her apprenticeship.

In this video, Heather also talks about how she came to work in the UK nuclear industry and the exciting career that she is enjoying, supporting the work towards net zero and the work being undertaken to improve the gender balance in the UK nuclear industry.
