The Process Safety Management Foundations course provides the fundamental knowledge and understanding of the principles of process safety management across the entire organisation.

About the course
This course will cover the identification, evaluation and prevention of accidents and incidents, as a direct result of failures in equipment, processes and procedures. It is aimed at managers, supervisors, designers, safety personnel, and senior contract employees. It is also suitable for managers, and supervisors and young engineers working in COMAH establishments or other major hazard environments and anyone wishing to develop a more detailed understanding of process safety management.
How it’s delivered
The training can be delivered on-site to groups of up to 12 delegates. For individuals or small groups, we run open courses across the UK. All delegates are registered for an on-line self-assessment designed to reinforce their knowledge and understanding of process safety management and will be given exclusive access to a suite of video case studies designed to reinforce the learning for up to three years.
The course is delivered by highly experienced Cogent Assured Training Providers using a combination of presentations, case studies and group discussions to illustrate process safety management requirements and demonstrate ways to develop and monitor an effective process safety programme.
