New eLearning Network Launched
NSAN, the go-to-place for skills for nuclear, has today launched ‘The eLearning Network’; a new online learning facility to provide easily accessible courses to support people working in, or looking to start their career in, the nuclear industry.
This new upgraded platform will replace NSAN’s current eLearning platform, the Nuclear Training Network, which has supported more than 34,000 learners since it launched in 2014.
The eLearning Network is built on the latest in online learning software and offers users a more intuitive and richer learner experience where learners can easily sign up for courses and track their progress. The new facility provides a full distance learning option, including for example, facilitating multimedia-learning packages, webinars, and training cohort group discussions.
Jo Tipa, Managing Director of NSAN, said:
“The eLearning Network unveiled today will be the new home for NSAN’s online courses such as the Triple Bars for Existing Sites and Nuclear New Build Sites, Site Licence Training and the Award for Nuclear Industry Awareness qualification.
This upgrade comes at a time when the requirement for remote working has intensified the need for companies to embrace distance learning. The eLearning Network will provide an excellent online facility to support ongoing professional development.”
The eLearning Network is open to all and it is free to set up an account as a learner. An added benefit for NSAN members is that the site is fully integrated with the NSAN website and will automatically apply discounts for employees of member companies when staff are enrolling on courses. The integration will also offer a single sign on for those who have a member account on the NSAN website enabling the same login information to be used to access the member area and eLearning platform.
Learners who are currently completing a course on the Nuclear Training Network (NTN) system will continue to access the course on the NTN as normal to minimise any disruption to their learning.
