NSSG’s Nuclear Workforce Assessment is the comprehensive national labour-force data for the nuclear industry in the UK.



Nuclear Industry Council (NIC) 

The Nuclear Industry Council (NIC) is a joint forum between the nuclear industry and government and its primary role is to provide strategic leadership to the nuclear industry.


Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education (IfA)

The IfA oversee the development, approval and publication of apprenticeship standards and assessment plans as well as the occupational maps for T Levels and apprenticeships.  The Institute is responsible for Technical Qualifications, which is the main, classroom-based element of the T Level.


Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)

BEIS are tasked with building an economy that works for everyone, so that there are great places in every part of the UK for people to work and for businesses to invest, innovate and grow.

BEIS is a ministerial department, supported by 41 agencies and public bodies.


Nuclear Apprenticeship Survey 2019

The NSSG supported by the Standards Advisory Group has carried out the first ever Nuclear Apprenticeship Survey. Respondents represented all of the major parts of the sector, civil and defence, including the supply chain.



Nuclear Sector Gender Roadmap

The Nuclear Skills Strategy Group (NSSG) and Women in Nuclear UK (WiN) have come together to produce a roadmap to support the achievement of a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
