Triple Bar Nuclear Leadership (TBNL)
The Triple Bar Bar Nuclear Leadership (TBNL) is a ‘three bar’ training course. The Triple Bar Nuclear Leadership (TBNL) course has been developed for middle managers, supervisors or team-leaders seeking to move to the next level of management and is also ideal for graduates and/or completed apprentices, as part of their career development programmes.
It looks at what is different about supplying to the nuclear sector, and it applies whether that is for new build, supporting existing facilities or decommissioning activities. It will help delegates understand what is different about the leadership and management style expected to be able to confidently work in the nuclear supply chain, and will suggest tools and techniques that will help establish the right business culture.
The TBNL course comprises of three 'bars':
Bar One: Leading nuclear awarenessCandidates will be able to explain the function of the Nuclear Regulator in relation to nuclear supply chain activities and recognise that failure to follow regulation can lead to serious consequences, business, financial and safety.
Candidates will be able to explain the key features of a Policy Deployment process and the link to workforce commitment.
Candidates will be able to review their current daily work process and understand how a structured day supports effective process confirmation and employee engagement and coaching leading to systematic problem solving.
Bar Two: Leading nuclear qualityCandidates will recognise that failure to follow quality processes precisely can lead to major nuclear and financial consequences.
Candidates will understand the importance of material cleanliness and segregation to the nuclear industry and be able to assess the standards of their business.
Candidates will understand the meaning and implications of CSFI, the consequences of failure of this by them or their suppliers and the regulator attention to this.
Bar Three: Leading nuclear safety
Candidates will understand the expectations of safety in the supply chain for the nuclear sector and the leader’s role in establishing and maintaining a safety culture based on Human Performance (HuP)
